This past January was my third time to Costa Maya and my first time to the Mayan Ruins. I guess it is true when they say 3 times is a charm.
I am glad we went. It was a lovely cool day. Yes cool. It was in the 70’s which is cool for that part of the world during the day. We were told a cold front had come through. Our tour guide was actually wearing a sweater.
The ruins were fantastic. It seem that the Mayan culture was a fascinating one. The different pyramids that we saw. Even walking in the jungle.
Once we got back to where the ship was one had the choice to either go back to the ship or do some shopping. It certainly has changed since my first time there. The shopping is great. From leather to jewelry. Mexico is known for silver. I was not planning on buying anything. I ended up with a beautiful silver neckless. There are also souvenir shops to buy t-shirts and other items.
There are bars and restaurants as well as a beach. One can even go swimming with the dolphins.
Of course being at the Solarium Bar at 5 as the ship was getting ready to sail away was nice.
